Turlin Moor Community Garden

Turlin Moor Community Garden is now in it's fourth year and continues to go from strength to strength. Situated on Turlin Road, close to the parade of shops it has become a real community asset providing space to grow and cook together as well as a moment of calmness on the busy estate.

As well as regular gardening sessions every Wednesday afternoon from 3:15pm the Garden also has a range of special events. Have a look on our events page to see what they're up to now. They are always really happy to welcome new faces so if you're looking for a garden to get growing in then do pop down, no experience necessary!

Involvement

  • Sourcing local products

The Garden grows its own and you can't get any more local than that! A range of vegetables and herbs are always available and cookery sessions also take place to give you some new ideas on how to enjoy all those veg.

  • Managing waste & recycling

Everyone at the Garden are keen composters so everything that can be composted is.

  • Working with communities

The Garden is all about getting as many people involved in growing as possible. They encourage volunteers, support people to get growing at home and have a range of special events throughout the year to entice even more people along. It's a fantastic place to be and is working with it's community to continue to change and grow.

We love the Garden and are so proud of what we've achieved over the last few years. It's so important to us to have a space we can share as a community as well as learn to grow and cook healthy food. We're all very friendly and would love even more people to get involved - we're sure they'll all love it!
