Poole Food Bank
The Food Bank provides three days’ worth of food for those in crisis, enough for however many people are in the household. The food is free and the vouchers required to access it are held by a wide range of professionals in the community, so that those in need can be helped quickly.
Most of the food is donated by local churches, schools, community groups, businesses and individuals. Where possible, a more sustainable solution will be sought by working with other organisations to help clients access a wider range of support.
Poole Food Bank provide an essential service for those people and families that need urgent, emergency support. They are working with us through our Food Poverty Working Group to improve the food they are able to offer, provide training and food skills and to support other community food projects across the two towns.
Working with communities
The project has been established specifically to support people in the local community most in need. The emergency parcels provide essential support during crisis periods as well as Food Bank staff being able to provide practical support and signposting.
The Food Bank is open from 9:30 – 12:30 from Tuesday to Friday.
